SMT (Surface Mount Technology), THR (Through Hole Reflow) or both combined? The 9231 Type D series combines all the advantages of both technologies.
Withstand the vibration
This combination is useful when it comes to stability in a small space. The THR method, thanks to its push-through-mounted contacts, represents a resilient and vibration-proof connection. Surface-mounted SMT pins do not require any additional drilling on the circuit board, so this saved area is available for conductor tracks.
Functional properties
One row of the two-row pin header is equipped with THR pins, the second with SMT contacts. The 9231 series is offered horizontally in a 2.54mm grid. The nominal current is 3 A per pin, a copper alloy with the surface options gold-plated, tin-plated or selectively gold-plated is available as contact material.
The insulating body is made of thermoplastic material in accordance with UL94 V-0, reliable function is guaranteed in the temperature range from – 40 ° C to + 125 ° C. For the automated manufacturing process, the connectors are available in bars with or without pick-and-place pads, optionally with a tape and reel version.
Space-saving and stable
THR-SMT mixed combinations are used wherever the circuit board architecture requires resilient and space-saving components. W + P offers matching mating connectors and other mixed technology connectors, data sheets and samples are also available. (U.N)
