Description
Recirculating exhaust gas ensures vehicle engines that burn gasoline or diesel fuel do not suffer damage due to the buildup of excess pressure. Heating the recirculating air before it reaches the intake manifold for an internal combustion engine prevents ice crystals from forming and damaging the turbocharger. Littelfuse makes a blow-by heater for this purpose. Our heater consumes very little power and does not require an external thermostat. They also come in sturdy packages that allow them to withstand harsh operating conditions.
Features
Operates with supply voltages between 8 V and 18 V
Power rating of 15 W when operating at 12 V
Operates at temperatures between –40 ℃ and +125 ℃
Benefits
Choice of connectors and terminals
Operates reliably in harsh environments
Positive temperature coefficients allow heating elements to self-regulate
Low power consumption eliminates need for external thermostat
