The Amphenol Industrial ePower series of connectors are designed for the demanding requirements of hybrid, electric vehicles, and utility truck electrical systems. The connectors are ideal for systems operating at 800 VDC to 1000 VDC with a 200 A to 500 A rating. The product incorporates the patented RADSOK® technology for higher amperage, lower T-rise, less resistance and mating force. It offers a 40% smaller footprint than three EMI shielding cable glands and easier operation of termination with shielded cable by a washer compressing the shield to the inside surface of the shell. The connector series covers 2 or 3 power contacts. As an example, one ePower 400 A connector can replace three conventional connectors, saving space and cost.

Amphenol Industrial’s low power loss 4 mm H4 connectors for photovoltaic systems feature a locking design that meets NEC 2008 standards. Additionally, Amphenol’s improved gasket materials enhance reliability for long-term use in any environment. The connectors also include TUV-compliant touch-proof casings for increased product and user safety.
H4 connectors feature self-cleaning, high efficiency grid contacts as well as long-term UV and ozone resistance to extend their life expectancy and performance. By incorporating proven Amphenol contact technology and manufacturing methods, these new connectors offer increased performance at a low price point.
These versatile and low-cost connectors can be used to connect multiple solar panels in strings and then combine boxes or inverters. They mate with existing H4s, making them suitable for use in currently installed applications.
RoHS compliant H4 connectors use a simple unlocking tool for quick mating and unmating in the field. Additionally, they are engineered to meet UL, IEC/CEI, NEC, TÜV, and DIN V specifications.
